One of the most difficult moments I had to go through was how to answer a question from seven-year-old Vincent, a boy on a wheelchair who had eight major operations since birth, and whose only desire was to be able to walk.
“Father, you told me that if we pray and believe in Jesus’ name, God will answer our prayer, is not so? Father, I always pray and I really believe, how come I still cannot walk?” asked Vincent.
I looked at Vincent with tears in my eyes. I must have uttered some words about patience, and about God making all things beautiful in His time… but deep inside me, I, too, was asking, “Why Lord, why?”

Lord, there are many things I cannot understand nor explain. Help me to believe and to keep on believing. Amen.
