Pinoy SVD in Africa along the path of cyclone Idai

The intense Tropical Cyclone Idai, regarded as one of the worst tropical cyclones recorded to affect Africa and the Southern Hemisphere, caused catastrophic damage in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi

For more more than two weeks, from March 4 to March 21, 2019 cyclone Idai traced it path along the south corridor of Africa, leaving more than 700 people dead and hundreds more are missing.

The Divine Word Missionaries worked in those countries. (See www.svdafram.com ) One among them is Fr Phil Pinalgan SVD.

In his social media account he shared photos of their surrounding area of his mission work assignment. He wrote in his social media account:

O ciclone Idai devastou as nossas capelas mas não a nossa fé.
Cyclone idai devastated our chapels but not our faith.
